1. Who we are
Blackview Ghana(“we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data you share with us when you use our Site. If you have any question about this policy, you can reach us at support@blackviewghana.com.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to sell to you:
- Account data: name, email, phone number, password (stored as a one-way hash — never in plaintext).
- Order data: shipping address, billing details, order history, delivery preferences.
- Payment data: handled entirely by Paystack. We receive only a transaction reference and the final status (paid / failed). Card numbers, CVVs, mobile-money PINs, and bank credentials never touch our servers.
- Usage data: pages viewed, products added to cart, device and browser type, approximate location (country / region) from your IP address.
- Support data: emails, chat messages, and any attachments you send to our support team.
3. How we use it
- To fulfil and deliver your orders.
- To provide customer service, warranty, and returns handling.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and payment disputes.
- To send transactional email (order confirmation, shipping updates, password reset). These are not marketing and you cannot opt out.
- To send marketing email, but only if you explicitly opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time from the footer of any marketing message.
- To improve the Site — product ranking, search quality, performance.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us run the Site, and only to the extent needed. Those providers include:
- Paystack — payment processing.
- Microsoft Azure — database hosting (Azure Database for PostgreSQL).
- Upstash— rate limiting & caching.
- SMTP provider — transactional email delivery.
- Delivery partners — courier and last-mile logistics.
We do not sell your data to advertisers. We disclose personal data to law enforcement only where required by a valid legal request.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active plus the period required by tax and consumer-protection law in the country of sale (typically 5 to 7 years after the last transaction). Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Session logs and analytics are kept for up to 24 months.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data (we may retain what we are required to keep by law — see section 5).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.

7. Cookies
We use a small set of cookies and similar technologies:
- Session cookies — needed to keep you signed in and your cart intact. The Site will not work without these.
- Preference cookies — remember your country and display preferences.
- Analytics cookies — if enabled for your region, help us understand which pages and products are popular.
8. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: HTTPS/TLS in transit, encryption at rest for database backups, password hashing with bcrypt, rate limiting on sensitive endpoints, and HMAC verification on payment webhooks. No system is perfectly secure — please choose a strong, unique password and notify us at once if you suspect unauthorised access.
9. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we hold such data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Some of our service providers (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Upstash) process data outside your country. Where this happens, we rely on contractual safeguards with those providers to maintain protection equivalent to local law.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on this page and, where appropriate, by email. The “ Last updated” date at the top of the page shows the current version.
